Welcome to this unofficial website, whose primary focus is that of MasterCraft tires reviews. If you are here I would assume that you are shopping for new tires and want to make sure you get the best quality. Look no further than this page. I will give you honest answers and reviews from experience to help you make your decision, whether you choose MasterCraft tires or another supplier is completely up to you.
Let me start by saying a few things about the brand in question, MasterCraft. This name is only one of numerous different brands owned by the Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. The company also owns names such as Cooper Tires, Avon Tires, StarFire Tires, and Kenda. Cooper prides themselves on the fact that they produce tires of high-quality and low-wearing tires, using the slogan “Masters of the Road.” Cooper’s MasterCraft produces a wide-range of different tires suitable for vehicles of all types. In this Mastercraft tire review, I will be going over these different varieties and how well they perform. My main focus in today’s article will be on their Light Truck tires, their Ultra-High performance tires, and their commercial Passenger tires. Every week I will keep updating so always check back at MasterCraft Tires Reviews.
MasterCraft Tires Reviews
1) The light truck variety:
Most of these tires will come with a standard limited time warranty and a 55,000 mile tread wear protection policy. This is an important detail you will want to look for when doing your shopping.Within this category you will find specific titles such as the Discoverer A/T3 (which is my personal recommendation), the Discoverer S/T Maxx, and the Discoverer STT. As said by Cooper themselves, the Discoverer A/T3:
“Utilizes a balanced combination of technology, compounding and design to produce a tire that will perform well in nearly all types of terrains. The tread compound enhances wet traction and rolling resistance, while the aggressive tread design significantly improves off-road traction without sacrificing highway performance.”
Now my personal review of them. I honestly think these are great tires and will last you for a long time. With their great Warranty and tread wear protection it’s a great deal. Of these, however, I would highly suggest the Discoverer S/T MAXX, which performed the best for me and is suitable for all terrains. My least favorite is the Cooper Zeon LTZ. Of course this is my own opinion since this is my page about Mastercraft tires reviews.
2) Passenger tires:
Next in the MasterCraft tires reviews, I will discuss the passenger variety. Depending on the tire Cooper will usually offer at least a premium limited warranty, a free 45 day road test, and 20,000 to 80,000 mile tread wear protection policy. Of course these all vary on the kind of tire you are looking at: Cooper Zeon RS3-S, Cooper Zeon RS3-A, CS4 Touring and the Lifeliner GLS. Here is an excerpt about the Cooper Zeon RS3-S:
“The RS3-S is the latest ultra-high performance summer tire within the Cooper performance family. Its low-profile, high performance rating combines world-class dry road traction, handling and cornering with outstanding appearance. The tread compounds are specifically formulated to combine dry and wet traction with crisp handling and high speed capabilities.”
At my recommendation, the best tire here hands down is the Cooper Zeon RS3-A. It has the best protection policy coupled with other perks and not to mention it will last you for a very long time with very little problems.
3) Performance tires:
This section has tons of overlap with the above category, passenger tires. Since these are the most common type they will naturally be highest performing. The only two in this category are once again, the Cooper Zeon RS3-S and the RS3-A. Very similar but the latter always win because of the perks: warranty, road test, and 20,000 more miles of tread protection than it’s brother. I will once again recommend the Cooper Zeon RS3-A. Here are the tire’s most notable features:
- 3-D Micro gauge siping
- Asymmetric Tread Design
- Advanced Mold Profile
- State of the art tread compound
From all of the brands of tires I have seen, none can compete with MasterCraft tires. They are just high-quality tires, all around great tires and will outlast all the other competing brands. If you search for other MasterCraft Tires Reviews I am sure they will tell you the same thing.
If you did not read all of what I have written before and just wanted to scan to the bottom for a quick overview here it is, my MasterCraft Tires Review in a nutshell:
This brand performs especially well in light weight truck tires and performance tires. For most of them, they will prove you with premium warranty, treadware protection and a road test (this is important). For both categories the best tires respectively are the Discoverer S/T MAXX and the Cooper Zeon RS3-A. I promise if you decide to go with either one of these it will make your life a whole lot simpler.
